PROGRESSION OF THE STARVING BRAIN

Research suggests that a very similar yet more severe brain energy starvation occurs in Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer’s disease (AD).

This gradual brain glucose exhaustion becomes more severe as MCI progresses toward AD. Experts believe it contributes significantly to the onset or progression of AD and can go unnoticed long before any symptoms of cognitive decline begin to show.

However, brain ketone uptake remains the same in MCI and AD as in cognitively healthy people of the same age. Strategies that increase ketone availability to the brain improve cognitive outcomes in both MCI and AD.

Providing ketones from MCTs compensates for the brain glucose deficit.

NUROCO HIGH C10 OIL & ALZHEIMER’S

A recent clinical trial using the exact same high C10 MCT oil that is found in NUROCO Gel showed incredibly promising results into Alzheimer’s disease:

There was a significant improvement in cognitive function in mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease patients with APOE4(-) (a version of the APOE gene).

Further analysis revealed significant improvements in memory and language assessments.

MCT group had significantly increased ketone levels.

This study indicates the importance of routine high C10 MCTs consumption and its proven beneficial effects on brain function.
